I thought I'd offer today's random topic for discussion....
BEER!
It goes with pretzels... It goes with pizza.... It goes with a fat, greasy, dripping bacon cheeseburger... But, today's debate:
Does beer go with chocolate?
Discuss.

Can you melt the chocolate and mix it with beer making chocolate-beer?
How about adding nestle-quick to beer?

I once drank a concoction of cherry flavored grain punch, beer, and nestle's strawberry quick heh.

I always drink a beer (or more) when i play DaoC.. i usually keep a pot of peanuts by the cpu too for when i get the munchies. But when no more peanuts, i eat the closes eatable thing with in reach that i dont have to get up :) often times its chocolate... not the best mix, but oh well beggars cant be choosers.. i dont wanna get up so i eat and drink anyways

Bier, according to the Germans, can be made with any sugar substance.
So chocolate is in. It has to be mixed into the wart during the fermentation process. Basically, its what the yeast eats.
And the good news is... the more chocolate you add, the higher the alcohol content!

the more chocolate the higher the alcohol content ... OMNI did you know this .. and if so why did you not tell me ....
And I drink beer with cheesesticks .. cheese balls ... string cheese .. cheese doodles. cheese puffs ... chips and cheese ... cream cheese nacho dip<with green olives>
I think cheese goes well with beer ....
I love going to yee ol'cheese shoppie!!!!

Back in my college days, we had been to a beer bust at the local bar (PBR to make matters worse). When the bars closed me and my roommate went home. The only thing to eat there was some Chips Ahoy cookies and the big kosher dill pickles. And some Budweiser. So I proceeded to chow down on pickles and chocolate chip cookies, chasing it with beer. Was't too bad, after your stomach got over the initial shock. My roommate however turned green just watching me and spent half the night paying homage to the porcelain throne.

Augh. That sounds nasty!
One of my favorite beers is a micro-brew concoction based on the pear fruit. You got it, Pear-Beer! (Can’t remember the name, brewery or what-not, I got a single bottle left in the downstairs fridge though for anyone who would like the name.)
It’s got a slight sweet, pear-ie taste to it. And quite smooth and crisp! ;-)
What's the strangest beer anyone else has had/liked?

My roommate is an award winning brewmeister. Everything is all natural, (not kits) and dome at home. Lots of strange concoctions.
One of the best, chocolate espresso stout. Really rich, not too sweet (sugar gets comsumed in fermentation), and full bodied. Plus it doesn't put you to sleep.
One warning however, do not attempt to mix chocolate in existing beer. Yeast is dead, so won't consume the sugar and make more alcohol (sorry spotty, didn't mean to catch you dumping kitkats in your pint mug). At that point it just tastes gross!
Other beers. Raspberry lager, lemon pilsner, whiskey stout, apple/cinnamon bitter and many more too numerous to mention.

Had Sam Adams cherry wheat once.
That shit was nasty!
I dunno, maybe it's just me, but I like my beer to be beer-flavored, not fruit flavored. If I wanted a fruit drink, I'd have some frickin kool-aid! :tongue1:

One of the local micro breweries that have popped up in this state Makes chocolate Cherry lager. Another company just makes a chocolate beer. And for those of you who really want something fun and exciting there is a company in Utah that makes Poligamy Stout. so I guess thats the beer you drink when you want to marry a couple more. :haha:
